Foundation Riding Techniques
Many people think that riding using natural horsemanship methods means
always riding with a hackmore or bitless bridle and, for this reason, tend to
shy away from natural horsemanship.
When progressing from the ground to the saddle we strongly encourage you
start with a halter/hackmore. The reason for this is that it helps you to
develop a balanced seat and ‘good hands’. The less you depend on your hand aids
and rather use your seat and leg aids means the more positively your and your
horse’s performance will progress.
Refined Riding Techniques
Once you have developed a solid riding foundation you are ready to
progress to Refined Riding Techniques. Here you will learn how to positively use
your bridle and bit and other horse training equipment to enhance and refine
your riding technique. You will be amazed at the transformation!
